Corey Andrew had his profile and resume posted at Careerbuilder.com, and it caught the eye of Army recruiter Marcia Ramode, who contacted him. When Andrew informed Ramode that he is gay, the two engaged in a three-day email exchange that included statements by Ramode, in her official capacity as a recruiter, that boggle the mind.

I believe in tolerance among all people regardless of their race, culture, or creed. I try to never judge a person without getting to know them. That is precisely why I hate the debate over immigration so much. I am afraid it might be turning me into a bigot.

Google has been quietly banning gay blogs from their AdSense program for violating their Terms of Service. Are they keeping a double-standard though when it comes to "straight" blogs with equally risque content?

I'm not ready to accept Gibson's apology. Saying he's not a bigot is like saying he's not an alcoholic. But Alcoholics can go on the wagon and lead good lives, and Gibson could learn from his "moment of insanity" and do good works that make a differnce in awakening Americans to their shadow selves. Then I could forgive him.
